SOMETIMES IT'S BETTER THAN NOTHING.

HAPPY SUMMER, AND CONTINUE ENJOYING IT!!!

One of the designers that really caught my eye while I was rummaging through last week's fashion week in Amsterdam was Iris van Herpen. The main theme of this fun runway show was water, and Iris van Herpen was not timid when producing that theme. Based on the collection, the looks were based on the process of water transforming into crystals. She worked with a 3D design on her look with architect Daniel Widrig, who sculpted a beautiful piece that looked like a splash of frozen water. According to an article I read, van Herpen is the first to use a 3D print like that.

When it comes to fashion, all you hear are the do's and trends of fashion. How about the don't's of fashion? Refinery29 created a small article giving us a list of 5 don't's of fall trends 2010. You're free to give your own interpretation or agree or disagree. I just thought that it was an interesting article, but fashion is art, a form of expression, not to mention a billion dollar industry. Whatever makes you feel good, and whatever you can rock is all that matters, right?

Yea.. I am camera whore as of today, but I loved playing with my poncho, especially because of the weather. It was pretty windy in the city of Amsterdam. Btw, it's my 50th post, and I'm not stopping, haha.

"All cartoon characters and fables must be exaggeration, caricatures. It is the very nature of fantasy and fable."

This very person who was photographed actually made this design on her cardigan, and I've always appreciated somebody who creates beauty in something as plain as a white sweater.
